Regarding the Handling Rules of Personal Information

The Adecco Group is, aiming to create opportunities by connecting human resources and technology, and to create the future of work for all those who work. We promise to protect and respect the privacy of the various personal information we receive from everyone, and we will carefully use it to properly perform the services provided by the Adecco Group.

  1. 1.
    The Purpose of Use of Personal Information
    The purposes of using the Personal Information held by Adecco Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Adecco”, ”our company” or “us”) are as follows;

      Personal Information provided to Adecco by each individual.
      • Guidance of procedures for using our company’s services.
      • Provision and management of our company's services that you have requested, and support, advice and counseling related to our company’s services.
      • Provision of information related to our company and its services, as well as guidance of events such as company information sessions, seminars.
      • Our company’s hiring screening (document screening, interview, internal discussion etc.), and guidance and contacting in regard to the hiring screening.
      • Guidance procedures of hiring for the prospective new employee(s).
      • Procedures related to employment contract and HR labor management.
      • Provision of welfare benefits.
      • Planning and management of education/training and attendance management.
      • Safety confirmation and contact that is deemed necessary in the event of a disaster or emergency occurrence.
      • Other measures that our company deemed necessary for personnel/labor management /organizational restructuring.
      • The management of business partners.
      • Response to questions, consultations, inquiries etc. regarding our company.
      • Questionnaire requests, Provision of information related to campaigns, events, e-mail newsletters etc., and gift deliveries.
      • Request of cooperation with the advertisement streaming, surveys etc. related to our company’s activities in marketing activities.
      • Use for analysis, statistical processing and machine learning for the purpose of improving our company’s information systems, marketing and other services level.
      • Other measures based on the laws and regulations.

      Personal Information Collected by our company
      • Guidance and provision of information of our services such as seminars, hiring, job introducing, job offering based on the analyzed information through the profile published on the SNS, history record of viewed and job applied.
      • Use for suitable job reference, job offering or counseling by analyzing information collected from resumes, Job history, and interviews, as well as the use of statistical processing and machine learning.
      • Use to improve our services by grade scoring the questionnaire results.
      • Analyze the accurate record information we have, such as telephone calls, e-mails, posts on SNS, and web video conference to improve our services.
      • Secure safety and measures, ensuring the security of clients and employees in the workplace by installing security cameras in the head office and based offices(stored for a certain period of time).
      • Service proposal and decision of appropriate department through analyzing IP address, browser, time stamp, log information, location information, accessed resources etc. acquired by our company by visiting our website, SNS and portal.
      • Guidance of publicized open information, analysis information obtained from Third party by contract, and guidance of using our services, guidance of questionnaire requests, campaigns, events and e-mail newsletters etc.
      • Other measures based on laws and regulations.
    3. (3)
      Personal Information acquired directly or through third party based on the contract with outsourcer
      • Use within the scope necessary for the execution of outsourced operations based on the contract with the outsourcer.
  2. 2.
    Voluntarily providing the Personal Information

    Providing Personal Information to our company is optional and on a voluntary basis. We may not be able to offer you our services if the personal information is not provided.

    Deletion and/or Return of Personal Information

    The Personal Information we have received shall not be returned. The Personal Information will be deleted after a certain period if the unnecessity of storing is determined under our company’s responsibility.

  4. 4.
    Acquisition of Personal Information through Cookies, etc.

    In order to improve the convenience, to deliver ads and create statistical data, we use Action keys, Web beacon, and other tracking tools aside from cookies in our website. These tools may collect user’s system information to view the page, information to identify the user if the same person, activity history of the user (browsing history of the web page and contents, etc.), device information and location information, etc. Such information does not contain information that can identify individual but it may be used to identify an individual by cross-checking with information held by our company, and may be used within the scope of the purpose of use specified in 1 above.

    Provision to Third party
    Adecco will not provide the Personal Information to a third party without the consent of person whom the information belongs to; however, this does not apply to the following cases below:
    • Based on Laws and Regulations.
    • When there is a necessity of protecting a human life, physical, and property, which it is difficult to obtain a consent from the owner of information.
    • When there is a necessity of enhancing public hygiene or promote fostering healthy children, and it is difficult to obtain a consent from the owner of information.
    • When there is a necessity for the national organization or the local government administrations or the outsourcees to cooperate in order to perform the duties prescribed by the laws and regulations, and there is a risk which will affect the accomplishment of duties of by not obtaining the consent of owner of information.

    Entrustment of Personal Information

    Our company may outsource part or all its personal information handling operations to a third party to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use stated in 1 above. When entrusting personal information to a third party, our company will select a corporation or individual that deemed to have a personal information protection system that is equivalent to or higher than our personal information protection system as the entrusted party, and will entrust to the third party only to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use.

    We will share the personal information we have received in accordance with the following items.

      Name, date of birth, address, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number, name of organization to which the person belong, name of department, name of position, transaction history, employment history, education history, qualifications and skills abilities, and documents that can prove labor rights such as ID cards, and other information necessary to provide the services of our company or Adecco Group such as job introduction and job placement.

      To provide information on various questionnaires, campaigns, events, etc. conducted by the Adecco Group

      Method of collection of information

      When sharing personal information within the Adecco Group, we will acquire information by means of written documents, electronic media, the Adecco Group's systems, and other methods that take appropriate security control measures in accordance with our standards and share it within the Adecco Group.
